Communications management

Crisis communications

With every crisis, there is the real crisis and the communications crisis.  Solving the real crisis always takes priority. However, communicating well during a crisis can help you contain the crisis and enhance your reputation.   This course takes a look at the importance of reputation management and introduces a 5-step process for handling crisis communications, using practical case studies as a key training tool.

Participants leave the session knowing how to create a crisis communications plan, deal with and respond to media, build effective messages and identify issues and strategies for communicating with media and other stakeholders.  A large part of the course is dedicated to a real-life crisis scenario where participants work through the scenario, are interviewed on camera and are critiqued based on how well they handle the crisis.

Change management for leaders

Exploding the myth that people naturally resist change, this two-day workshop provides the basics behind change management as well as a process for understanding and managing change at the individual, group and system levels. Using a state-of-the art simulation, participants actually experience the pressure and challenges that occur during change and then reflect upon how it affected them, drawing key learning from the experience.

At the end of the workshop, participants have a far deeper awareness of the mechanisms behind change and also leave with concepts, tools and techniques that they can apply in the day-to-day business.

Social media monitoring and engagement programmes

LEIDAR can help you develop your practical social media strategies for B2B or B2C communications, connect with and engage your target audiences, continuously monitor key themes, topics and online discussions, through our Listening Officer reports, develop social media policies and train your team on social media. Importantly, we ensure your social media work is aligned with the overall communications strategy and approach.

Leadership communications

Using the latest brain knowledge, this workshop helps participants understand their own communications styles and those of others. It also provides a set of relevant tools and techniques, which delegates can use to improve their own communications skills.

Built around the concept of engaging others through the head, heart and hands approach, the 1.5-day workshop introduces models and tools that can be applied immediately. The training also helps participants understand the value of feedback and demonstrates how to create a climate where employees can help each other to develop and improve.
