With a particular specialism in media advocacy and crisis communications campaigns, Rory is a highly experienced strategic communications consultant who has spent 10 years working on front-line EU media and regulatory campaigns in Brussels for leading consultancies, following a two-year spell as head of communications and advocacy for an African political network based in London. Having previously led the largest portfolio of ag-chemical clients in Brussels, Rory has successfully campaigned on diverse issues including intellectual property rights, merger and competition issues, healthcare treatment innovations, industrial biotechnology and many others. As head of communications and advocacy for the Commonwealth Partnership for Technology Management, Rory project-managed international development summits in Zambia, Uganda and Tanzania (Including Heads of State, Ministers and influential business leaders). Rory believes in delivering campaigns using best practice media relations tradecraft that respects the media transaction ‘give a story to get a story’.
