Creating awareness in Norway around wearable technology for blind and visually impaired people, and those with reading difficulties.

Challenge

OrCam Technologies is a global leader in personal, AI-driven assistive technology innovations. The company’s wearable platforms increase independence in the lives of individuals who are blind, visually impaired, and have reading challenges. OrCam wanted to create awareness of their technology in the Norwegian market – with funding available for qualified citizens – through earned media opportunities, and overall understand the Norwegian landscape.

Solution

Since OrCam is based outside of Norway, Leidar has worked closely with both OrCam and their Norwegian distributor, Logisense. Together we have identified potential device users who can speak about their experiences of empowerment with OrCam to Norwegian media outlets.  During our ongoing collaboration, we have secured coverage on national TV including TV2, Norway’s daily newspapers including Aftenposten and Dagbladet, as well as regional and local media including Teknisk Ukeblad, Østlandets Blad, and Glomdalen.
